What Is The $15 Million Seresto Tick and Flea Collar Settlement?

A $15 million class action settlement has been reached with Seresto over claims that certain flea and tick prevention collars did not perform as advertised. The lawsuit alleges that some Seresto collars, marketed to provide up to 8 months of protection, failed to acknowledge significant health risks posed to pets wearing them.

While Seresto denies any wrongdoing, the company has agreed to pay the settlement to resolve the claims.

How Much Can I Get?

Class members who choose to receive a payout can benefit as follows:

Collar Purchase Payouts

  • With Proof of Purchase: If you have valid proof, you can receive $13.00 for each collar purchased, with no limit on the number of collars claimed.
  • Without Proof of Purchase: If you lack proof, you can claim $13.00 per collar, up to a maximum of $26.00 per pet.

Injury Payouts:
Class members can receive a $25.00 payout for economic injuries related to Seresto collars. To qualify, you must attest that your pet suffered injuries from using the collars. Alternatively, you can claim a full reimbursement for medical expenses related to these injuries, with proof of documentation.

Pet Death Reimbursement:
If your pet died due to Seresto collars, you may receive a $300 payment. To qualify, you must attest to the injuries suffered by your pet or provide documentation for expenses related to burial or cremation.
