LexisNexis Risk Solutions FL Inc. has agreed to pay $13.5 million to resolve a lawsuit alleging the company falsely reported living consumers as deceased. The lawsuit claims these incorrect death notations violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). LexisNexis denies wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid continued litigation.
Who Is Eligible?
There are two categories of class members:

Product Members
There are approximately 1,700 Contact Members and 59,000 Product Members.
Payment Amount
All eligible class members will receive the same pro rata cash payment, estimated at $150 or more, with the final amount depending on the number of approved claims. Payments may reach $1,000 or more.
How to File a Claim
Contact Members do not need to take any action and will be paid automatically after settlement approval.
Product Members must submit a claim either online or by mailing a completed PDF claim form.
