Smitty’s Supply, Inc. has agreed to settle a class action lawsuit for nearly $32 million over allegations that some of their tractor hydraulic fluids were falsely advertised, failed to meet specified standards, and may have caused damage to machinery using certain Smitty’s tractor fluids. Smitty’s Supply, a major manufacturer of automotive and industrial lubricants for tractors, faced claims related to their 303 THF Products.
The class action lawsuit made the following allegations:
- Performance and Specifications: Plaintiffs argue that the 303 THF Products did not meet the specifications set by equipment manufacturers and failed to deliver the performance benefits claimed on their labels.

How Do I Qualify for a Payout?

Note: Individuals who only purchased Super S Super Trac 303 Tractor Hydraulic Fluid in Missouri are excluded from this class action.
How Much Can I Get Paid?
The amount you may receive depends on the amount of product purchased and whether you experienced any equipment damage or repairs. Below is a breakdown of compensation for purchases:
- $12 for each 5-gallon bucket
- $6 for each 2-gallon jug
- $4 for each 1-gallon jug
- $90 for each 55-gallon drum
Damage Claims:
- Claims for damages (such as repairs, parts, or specific equipment damage) are capped at $1,000, but receipts or acceptable proof of damage are required for claims over $100.
- Claims for product purchases are capped at $100, unless you provide receipts or other proof for claims over this amount.

To file a claim, you must submit Part A of the Claim Form by March 1, 2025. Claims can be submitted in the following ways:
