regarding their treatment of Colombian housekeepers. The lawsuit alleges that MasterCorp engaged in unfair and unlawful practices, including requiring long hours without overtime pay and wrongful conduct related to immigration.
The claims include violations of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), various state wage and hour laws, and allegations of discrimination based on national origin, as well as common law fraud and negligence.

How Do I Qualify for a Payout?

Additionally, individuals who provided housekeeping services at U.S. resorts where MasterCorp was responsible for housekeeping from March 19, 2021, to May 15, 2024, may also qualify. Approximately 205 individuals are expected to be eligible.

How Much Can I Get Paid?
Settlement Class Members who submit a valid and timely claim will receive an equal share of the Net Settlement Amount. This amount is the total $4,950,000 settlement minus attorney fees, reasonable costs, service awards, administrative costs, and any applicable taxes.
If all 205 estimated Class Members file a claim, each will receive 1/205 of the Net Settlement Amount. If fewer members submit claims, the payout will increase proportionally, capped at 5/205 of the Net Settlement Amount.
