Payout: $100.00+ Proof Required: No
A $9.2 million class action settlement has been reached concerning Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare products. The lawsuit alleged that Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare, LLC falsely advertised its “C+Collagen” products as containing collagen, when in fact they did not. Consumers reportedly paid a premium based on this misrepresentation. While Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare denies any wrongdoing, the company has agreed to settle the case to avoid further litigation.
The total settlement fund amounts to $9,200,000. This will be used to compensate eligible class members who submit valid claims, cover legal fees and litigation costs, and provide service awards to the Settlement Class Representatives.
To be eligible for a payout, you must be a member of the Settlement Class, which includes anyone who purchased any of the C+Collagen products in the U.S. for personal or household use between March 10, 2016, and June 28, 2024. You must submit a valid claim form by the September 27, 2024 deadline. Examples of qualifying C+Collagen products include:
Class members who submit valid claims can receive $50 per qualifying product purchased. If you don’t provide a receipt, you can claim up to two products. With a receipt, you can claim up to ten products. If the total number of claims exceeds or falls short of the settlement fund, payments will be adjusted pro rata, with a maximum adjustment of $100 per product.
To file a claim:
Without a receipt, you may claim up to two products by completing the claim form under penalty of perjury. To claim more than two products, up to a maximum of ten, proof of purchase (such as a receipt) is required.
If you lack proof of purchase, you can still receive a cash refund of $50 per C+Collagen product purchased, with a maximum of two products. This could result in a total refund of up to $100 if you claim for two products without proof.
