Settlement Overview

Consumers who purchased nonorganic Alderfer eggs for personal or household use since December 1, 2020, may be eligible for a cash payment of $2–$3 per carton from a $287,500 class action settlement.

The lawsuit alleges that Alderfer Family Farm LLC and Alderfer Poultry Farm Inc. falsely advertised certain eggs as coming from free-roaming hens. While the companies deny any wrongdoing, they have agreed to settle the case.


Who’s Eligible?

Anyone in the U.S. who bought Alderfer nonorganic eggs (any size or count) between December 1, 2020, and the date the court grants final approval of the settlement.

Why Was This Lawsuit Filed?
