Overview:
Dobson Technologies Inc. has agreed to pay $450,000 to settle a class action lawsuit following a data breach that occurred between November 19, 2022, and March 3, 2023. The breach allegedly exposed sensitive personal information, including names, Social Security numbers, and financial account details.
If you received notice that your information may have been compromised, you may be eligible to file a claim and receive up to $2,000.
Who Is Eligible?
You may qualify if:
You reside in the United States, and
Your personal information was potentially compromised during the Dobson Technologies data security incident, or
You received a data breach notice from Dobson Technologies.
Settlement Benefits:
Class members may receive one or more of the following:
Out-of-Pocket Expense Reimbursement (Up to $2,000):
Eligible documented expenses may include:
Costs for credit monitoring or identity theft protection
Fees for replacing IDs
Postage and mailing costs
Financial losses due to identity theft
Lost Time Compensation (Up to $80):
Class members may be compensated at $20 per hour for up to four hours spent dealing with the data breach. This amount counts toward the $2,000 cap.
Flat Payment ($50):
For class members who do not claim expenses or lost time.
Credit Monitoring Services:
All class members may opt for one year of credit monitoring plus $1 million in identity theft insurance.
Note: If total claims exceed $450,000, payments will be reduced proportionally.

The claim deadline is December 4, 2025.
