What is the Keurig Lawsuit About?
Keurig has reached a $10 million settlement in a class action lawsuit concerning its K-Cup products. Consumers can claim $5 without needing to provide proof of purchase by filling out a claim form on the official Keurig class action settlement website. For those who qualify and can provide proof of purchase, cash compensation of up to $36 is available.
This settlement arises from allegations regarding the labeling and advertising of K-CupĀ® single-serve coffee pods that were described as recyclable. While Keurig has agreed to settle, it does not admit to any wrongdoing. Furthermore, the Court has not determined any party’s fault in this case.
How Can I Receive Cash Payments?
A. Without Proof of Purchase – Up to $5 per Household
If you choose to receive cash without proof of purchase, you may be eligible for $5 per household.
B. With Proof of Purchase – Up to $36 per Household
If you have proof of purchase (such as a receipt), you can claim $3.50 for every 100 pods purchased. The maximum payout is $36 per household, with a minimum total payment of $6 if you provide proof.
How Do I Qualify for Cash?
You are eligible as a class action member if you:
- Purchased K-CupĀ® single-serving coffee pods labeled as recyclable
- Used the pods for personal, family, or household purposes (not for resale)
- Made your purchases between June 8, 2016, and August 8, 2022
