Settlement Overview:
Acrisure has reached a settlement addressing claims that it failed to safeguard consumer data during a data breach that occurred in December 2022. This settlement is designed for individuals whose personal information was compromised in that incident.

The class action lawsuit alleges that Acrisure did not take adequate cybersecurity measures to protect consumer data during the cyberattack. Plaintiffs contend that the breach exposed sensitive personal information, putting them at risk for financial damage.

Acrisure, a financial technology and insurance brokerage firm with $4.3 billion in revenue, has not admitted any wrongdoing but has agreed to pay an undisclosed amount to settle the lawsuit.

Settlement Benefits:
Class members may receive up to $4,000 for losses related to the data breach, which could include damages from fraud or identity theft, professional fees, credit expenses, communication costs, and compensation for up to four hours of lost time at a rate of $25 per hour. Additionally, members are entitled to two years of credit monitoring and identity protection services from one credit bureau.
