What is This Settlement About?
A $6,000,000 class action settlement has been reached involving Anheuser-Busch, the producer of Budweiser, Bud Light, and Bud Light Ritas® products, such as Bud Light Lime-A-Rita. The lawsuit claimed that Anheuser-Busch misled consumers by advertising Lime-A-Ritas as containing specific distilled alcohols like tequila or wine, which they did not. These products were marketed as combining “the flavor of an authentic margarita with a refreshing splash of Bud Light Lime®.”

Anheuser-Busch, a prominent brewer known for brands like Budweiser, Bud Light, Michelob Ultra, and Stella Artois, has not admitted to any wrongdoing in the settlement. The court has not made any determinations regarding the merits of the claims.
