A class action lawsuit alleged that Estrella Insurance failed to properly safeguard consumer data, leading to a cyberattack in January 2025. While Estrella denies any wrongdoing, the company has agreed to settle the case to avoid the cost and uncertainty of continued litigation.
Who Is Eligible?

- Must have occurred between January 22, 2025 and seven days after the class notice was sent
Lost Time – Up to $100
- $25/hour for up to 4 hours spent resolving issues related to the breach
Extraordinary Losses – Up to $5,000
- For documented financial losses linked directly to the breach, such as:
- Fraudulent charges not reimbursed
- CPA or attorney fees related to identity theft or tax fraud
