Overview of the GTL Prepaid Settlement
A $67,000,000 settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit against Global Tel Link (GTL). The lawsuit alleges that GTL improperly retained funds in prepaid “AdvancePay” accounts after these accounts were inactive for 180 days or less.

Who Qualifies?
Individuals who set up and funded a prepaid account through GTL’s interactive voice response system, and whose positive account balances were reduced to $0.00 due to inactivity for 180 days or less between April 3, 2011, and October 6, 2021, are eligible.

What Compensation Is Available?
Eligible current and former GTL customers will receive a full refund of the money GTL retained under the Inactivity Policy. Current customers will receive a credit to their accounts, while former customers need to submit a valid claim to receive their refund.

How to File a Claim
To obtain a refund from the GTL prepaid settlement, you needed to submit a Claim Form by June 14, 2022. Class Members without an active AdvancePay Account who did not opt out of the settlement are eligible for a refund from the Settlement Fund.
