Leaders Staffing LLC has agreed to a $550,000 settlement to resolve claims that it failed to adequately protect sensitive personal information during a data breach. Affected individuals may be eligible for cash payments and identity theft protection services.
Who’s Eligible to File a Claim?
You may be eligible if:
- You received a direct notice from Leaders Staffing informing you that your personal information may have been compromised in the October 2023 data breach, or
- You received constructive notice (e.g., a public disclosure) stating your data was potentially accessed or exposed.
Compromised data may have included names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, and financial account details.
Settlement Benefits
Eligible class members may receive one or both of the following:
1. Out-of-Pocket Loss Reimbursement (Up to $1,500)
You can claim reimbursement for documented expenses related to the breach, including:
- Unreimbursed fraud or identity theft losses
- Fees for attorneys, accountants, or credit repair
- Credit freeze/thaw costs with reporting agencies
- Identity monitoring costs
- Other costs like notary fees, postage, or mileage
2. Pro Rata Cash Payment
After attorney fees and other costs are deducted, the remaining settlement funds will be divided equally among class members who file a valid claim for this benefit—whether or not they claim reimbursement.
