Maryville Inc. has agreed to a $950,000 class action settlement following two data breaches in August 2023 and May 2024 that potentially exposed sensitive personal and medical information. What Can You Receive?
1. Out-of-Pocket Expense Reimbursement – Up to $5,000:
For documented expenses such as:
- Identity theft or fraud-related losses
- Professional service fees (e.g., for credit repair or accountants)
- Credit monitoring or freezing costs
- Miscellaneous costs (postage, copying, mileage, etc.)
2. Lost Time Compensation – Up to $100:
- $25 per hour for up to four hours spent responding to the breach
- Can be combined with out-of-pocket claims, not to exceed $5,000 total
3. Free Credit Monitoring:
- Two years of one-bureau credit monitoring
- Includes identity theft protection
- Enrollment requires a valid email address

When Will Payments Be Issued?
Settlement payments are expected to be distributed approximately 60 days after the court grants final approval and all disputes have been resolved.
