Why There Is a Settlement
The lawsuit claimed that a cyberattack on Medical Associates of Brevard’s systems in January 2025 exposed files containing personal and medical information. Plaintiffs alleged the company failed to implement adequate security measures to protect that data.
Medical Associates of Brevard denied all wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid the cost, burden, and uncertainty of further litigation.
