Homeowners who sold residential property through MLS Property Information Network Inc. (MLS PIN) using the Pinergy multiple listing service and paid a commission to a real estate agent may be eligible for a portion of a $3.95 million class action settlement.
The lawsuit alleged that MLS PIN’s practices caused sellers to pay artificially high commissions to buyer brokers, violating antitrust laws. MLS PIN denies any wrongdoing but agreed to the settlement to avoid prolonged litigation and to implement changes in how commissions are handled.

How Much Can You Receive?
Eligible sellers will receive a pro rata payment from the $3.95 million settlement fund. The amount will be based on the sale price of the property, as recorded in MLS PIN’s records, after deducting legal fees, administrative costs, and service awards.
