Why Was There a Settlement?

The lawsuit accused NewPro Operating LLC of violating state wage and hour laws by:

  • Imposing chargebacks
  • Delaying or withholding bonus payments
  • Deducting costs for uniforms and equipment
  • Under-reimbursing for business-related mileage
  • Failing to comply with Massachusetts paid sick leave laws

NewPro denies all wrongdoing but agreed to the settlement to avoid the cost, burden, and uncertainty of ongoing litigation.
