Why Was This Settlement Reached?
The lawsuit alleged that a targeted cyberattack on Parksite’s systems between December 2023 and January 2024 allowed unauthorized individuals to access personal data, including Social Security numbers. Plaintiffs claimed Parksite failed to take adequate measures to secure this information.
Parksite denies wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid the cost and uncertainty of extended litigation.
