Individuals employed as field or damage investigators in the cable and telecom division at Project Resource Group Inc. between October 31, 2021, and December 31, 2024, may qualify for compensation.
Project Resource Group Inc. agreed to pay $2.4 million to resolve allegations that it misclassified certain employees as overtime-exempt and did not pay overtime wages for hours worked over 40 per week.
Who Can File a Claim?
Claimants must meet the following requirements:
- They were employed by Project Resource Group Inc. as a field or damage investigator in the cable and telecom division.
- They worked in this role at any time between October 31, 2021, and December 31, 2024.
Eligibility will be determined using the company’s employment records. Both current and former employees are included.
How Much Can Claimants Receive?
After deducting attorneys’ fees, service awards, and administrative costs, the settlement administrator will divide the remaining fund among claimants based on their total weeks of employment. Each claimant’s payment will be calculated by:
- Dividing the number of weeks the individual worked by
- The total number of eligible weeks worked by all claimants, then
- Multiplying that percentage by the net settlement fund.
Payments are subject to payroll tax withholdings, and recipients will receive a Form W-2. The final payout may be lower than initial estimates due to required tax deductions.
How to File a Claim
Eligible individuals may file an online claim form. No PDF claim form is available.

Claimants may dispute the company’s records regarding their dates of employment or weeks worked. Any dispute must be submitted through the claim form with supporting documentation. The settlement administrator will make the final determination.

Payout Method
Payments will be mailed by check to the address listed on the claim form. Checks must be cashed within 90 days of issuance.
