Redeemer Health Pixel Tracking Class Action Settlement

Patients of Redeemer Health or Holy Redeemer Health who used the organizations’ website, patient portals, or online forms between January 1, 2019, and March 21, 2023, may be eligible to claim a $25 cash payment and/or one year of identity protection services from a class action settlement.

Redeemer Health agreed to settle a lawsuit alleging it used third-party tracking technologies (“tracking pixels”) on its websites and online portals, potentially transmitting patients’ personal and health information to outside entities without authorization.


Who Is Eligible?

To qualify, individuals must:

  • Be a current or former patient of Redeemer Health or Holy Redeemer Health
  • Have used any of the Redeemer web properties between Jan. 1, 2019, and March 21, 2023, including:
    • Pages on redeemerhealth.org
    • Patient portal login pages or portals (including third-party vendor portals) accessed through the Redeemer site
    • Online forms, such as “Contact Us,” Lafayette contact form, Maternity contact form
    • Online appointment scheduling forms

Settlement Benefits

Class members may receive one or both of the following:

Cash payment:
A $25 payment for eligible claimants.

Identity protection:
One year of CyEx Privacy Shield Pro identity protection services at no cost.


How to File a Claim

Class members must submit a valid claim form online or by mail.

Claims must be submitted or postmarked by January 9, 2026.

Required Claim Information

To file online or by mail, claimants must provide the unique ID and PIN included in their official settlement notice.

Settlement Fund Details

The settlement fund will cover:

  • Settlement administration costs (amount TBD)
  • Attorneys’ fees, costs and litigation expenses (up to $1,750,000)
  • Service awards to class representatives ($2,500 each; $7,500 total)
  • Identity monitoring services (cost depends on number of responses)
  • Cash payments to approved claimants

Important Dates

  • Opt-out deadline: December 5, 2025
  • Claim filing deadline: January 9, 2026
  • Final approval hearing: February 9, 2026

When Will Payments Be Issued?

Payments will be distributed after the settlement receives final court approval and the claims administrator completes verification of claims.


Why This Settlement Exists

The lawsuit alleged that Redeemer Health used tracking pixels on its website and patient-facing online systems in a way that may have allowed third parties to receive protected health information without consent. Redeemer Health denies wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid further litigation. As part of the settlement, it will implement additional measures to comply with HIPAA.
