Pharmacies in the United States or its territories that paid for e-prescriptions routed through the Surescripts network between September 21, 2010, and July 18, 2025, may be eligible to claim a cash payment from a $39.75 million class action settlement.
Surescripts LLC and Allscripts Healthcare Solutions Inc. (now Veradigm LLC) agreed to the settlement to resolve allegations that they conspired to suppress competition and charged inflated prices for e-prescription routing services in violation of federal and state antitrust laws.
Who Is Eligible
You may be part of the settlement class if you:
- Are a pharmacy located in the United States or its territories.
- Paid for e-prescriptions routed through the Surescripts network between September 21, 2010, and July 18, 2025.
The settlement covers all types of pharmacies, including both independent and chain pharmacies.
How Much Can Pharmacies Receive
Payments will be distributed on a pro rata basis, meaning the amount each pharmacy receives depends on:
- The total number of valid claims submitted.
- The number of e-prescriptions each claimant routed through the Surescripts network during the class period.
Formula:
Each claimant’s payment = (number of e-prescriptions routed by the claimant ÷ total routed by all claimants) × net settlement fund
If a calculated payment is less than $10, no payment will be issued.
How to File a Claim
- Pharmacies that already filed a claim in the prior RelayHealth settlement (covering September 21, 2010, to April 19, 2021) do not need to file again for that period but may add information for April 20, 2021, through July 18, 2025.
- Pharmacies that did not file a RelayHealth claim must submit a claim to participate.
Class members can file a claim online or by mail.

Why There Is a Settlement
The lawsuit alleged that Surescripts, Allscripts and RelayHealth entered into agreements that restricted trade, suppressed competition and led to inflated prices for e-prescription routing services.
The defendants denied wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid the expense and uncertainty of ongoing litigation.
