Viki Inc. has agreed to pay $8,000,000 to resolve a class action lawsuit claiming the company violated federal privacy law by disclosing users’ identities and video-viewing history to Facebook without proper consent.
Who Is Eligible?
You may be eligible for a cash payment if:
- You had both a Viki account and a Facebook account at any time between January 12, 2016, and July 30, 2024.
- You accessed or streamed video content on the Viki.com website during that period.
- You were physically located in the United States at the time you watched the content.
Estimated Payout
Eligible class members may receive a cash payment between $30 and $150, depending on the number of valid claims filed. The payment amount will be distributed on a pro rata basis from the remaining settlement funds after deductions for fees and administrative costs.
How to File a Claim
To receive a payment, you must submit a claim form online by the September 22, 2025 deadline.

Required Information
To file a claim, you will need to provide:
- Your unique ID and PIN from the settlement notice.
- Proof of a Facebook account. This includes providing a link to your Facebook profile page. Instructions are available on the claim form and settlement FAQ.
- If you no longer have access to your Facebook account, you must follow specific instructions on the settlement site to confirm your identity.
